The Blank IMAX Dome at the Science Center of Iowa is an under-appreciated gem in the local film scene: One of the last remaining dome style IMAX screens showing documentaries on actual celluloid.
Starting this week, they will be open late on Fridays and Saturdays… with a special offer for DMFS Members.
Evening programming will feature various films from SCI’s archive: Documentaries shot entirely with IMAX cameras which can take viewers into the eye of a hurricane, soaring above our National Parks, and beyond. Showtimes will at 5:15, 6:15, 7:15 and 8:15 pm.
Tickets are $9 for adults and $7 for children. DMFS Members can now see these films for just $5 – the SCI Member rate.
