Lost Films Poster Show coming to Art Week

Lost Films Poster Show coming to Art Week

During Art Week, you will have two more chances to catch the Lost Films Poster Art Show and get your hands on one of these limited-edition poster prints.

Tuesday, June 21, 6-9pm: We will be in our own offices, 304 15th St., Suite 201, as part of the Fitch Building Summer Open Studios.

Friday-Saturday, June 24-25: We will be on display as part of the Art Terrarium skywalk pop-up at Kaleidoscope at the Hub, 555 Walnut St.

What is the Lost Films show? Throughout the history of cinema, many amazing film projects have been conceived, written, maybe even partially produced, but never completed. For this show, we asked designers to create posters for some of these lost films, including works from giants such as Alfred Hitchcock and Stanley Kubrick.

Each poster was produced in a limited-edition run of just 35 prints, for sale for $35. Proceeds are split between the artists and the non-profit Des Moines Film Society. Limited quantities remain of the most popular prints.

“It’s amazing that you’re honoring filmmakers with these posters. Their films may not have been made but you are honoring all their hard work. You’re shining a light on these unproduced gems and making them immortal.”
— Stephen Scarlata, producer of Jodorowsky’s Dune
